Dr.Siva Shankara Bharathy’s professional experience over fifteen years spans Industry, Consultancy, Teaching, Training and Research.He learned Digital Filming from the prestigious Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)Singapore . Einstein International University has conferred Honorary Doctorate on Bharathy for his passion and excellent contributions in the field of Stereo 3D and Animation. Bharathy’s research interests include 3D-Photography, 3D Video Imaging, , Digital Stereo Projection, Holography, Virtual Reality and other stereoscopic Cinematographic techniques in the field of Stereographic 3D imaging, and has contributing to prestigious projects of the National Design and Research Forum, Bangalore.
Bharathy provides domain and technological inputs for the indigenous development of a cost-effective Stereo 3D Imaging System and 6D Vision Studies, and the development of a vision system for mini/micro air vehicles as part of the NDRF-Consortium of National Programme on Micro Air Vehicles (NP-MICAV) which is funded by Defence Research and Development Organisation and Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
It was the time when High Definition (HD) video was emerging and it is new to the then visual media and industry, Bharathy has played a key role in the technical work-flow development for HD movie making with Panasonic Singapore together with AV8 Media Singapore in the making of a HD Pilot and it was a successful effort demonstrated the feasibility of digital cinema in Europe and South East Asia. His historical contribution in this regard paved the way for digital cinema and positive growth of its Eco system. He has also contributed significantly to the promotion of digital cinema and instrumental for the successful completion of few historical projects to his credit. There on working as a consultant for HD filming. He had the privilege of visiting and working with major studios in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Europe. He has done presentations for product launching sessions of Sony Singapore for their new cameras.
He also completed the Adobe Certified Video Expert and Certified Instructor Examinations in 2005 with flying colours and became the First Certified Video Specialist of South East Asia. He is providing his professional expertise as a faculty member by conducting training sessions regularly on video technology for major studios and Government organizations in various countries including Singapore and Europe.
Bharathy is a serial entrepreneur, and has played a pivotal role in steering start-ups from early growth to expansion. His first start-up, Aim Multimedia Private Limited – a multimedia training institute was the first Authorized Training Centre in India for software and hardware vendors like Adobe USA, Autodesk USA, Corel Corporation Canada, Wacom Singapore and Reflecmedia UK. Aim Multimedia anchored the creation of the 3D Animation for Media Development Authority of Singapore, and "Nilakanda", a TV animation serial. “Nilankanda” was adjudged the "World's first 3D Animation in Tamil" by the Singapore's Government news publication.
Bharathy presently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Scientist of Global Institute of Stereovision and Research and mentors the establishment of Stereo 3D Media Centers /Studios at Visual-Communication Schools, Engineering Colleges and Technological Universities. He serves as a elected Fellow of the Indian Institute of Safety and Environment, Indian Institution of Production Engineers, Foundation for Advanced Education and Research, and the Engineering Design and Analysis Forum.
